The Irma storm surge is really starting to come in now and still rising. Salt water. Why are these not on higher ground!? :(

It’s Florida, there is no higher ground.

What the hell! He couldn’t find 3-4 family or friends that also wanted to drive north?

There’s got to be at least $1,500 worth of insurance payout there!

Out of all of these, that is the one most likely to start after the flooding.

Like the 928 would even make it out of the county without breaking down.

None of them were probably in running condition in the first place.

928 headlights stuck in the up position? Or had the water startled it?

Indeed, but they aren’t particularly valuable. Splendid cars, but just old jalopies in the eyes of an adjuster.

It’s clear you don’t know much about old Mercs. My brother got $4k from his insurance company when he was t-boned in his run of the mill ‘80s 300d a few years ago. Those Mercs are worth a pretty penny.

I was being a bit hyperbolic with my undervaluation. However, $4-5k a pop is hardly worth insurance fraud. If they were pelican-avoiding Lambos (Veyrons) I’d be more suspicious.

Like I said, my brothers run of the mill ‘80s 300d was worth $4k to an insurance adjuster. The cars pictured are not run of the mill 300d’s. Also, who said anything about insurance fraud? It’s not insurance fraud if a hurricane washes your cars away. That’s the whole reason for having insurance. If the insurance payout is going to be a lot higher than what it costs to move and store the cars, then you let nature do its thing.
